Internal Care

Use an alcohol-free antibacterial mouthwash up to 3 times a day for a maximum of 10 days.
Rinse gently for about 30 seconds, especially after meals.

You can also rinse with a saline solution or salt water (½ teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water) if needed.

First Days Tips:

Expect some swelling during the first 3–5 days — this is normal.

Help reduce swelling by:

  • Drinking cold water

  • Using ice chips

  • Eating soft and cool foods

Avoid:

  • Alcohol

  • Smoking

  • Spicy or very hot foods

  • Kissing or oral contact during the first 7–10 days

Oral Hygiene

Brush your teeth gently after every meal using a soft toothbrush.

Avoid playing with the jewelry using your teeth or tongue.

Keep your oral hygiene very clean during the healing period.

Important

Do not use mouthwash more than 10 days, as excessive use can disturb the natural oral bacteria balance.

Remember:

Patience and gentle care are key to a successful healing process.

Always follow up with your piercer if you have questions or concerns.
